I flew so high nearly touched the sky, I didn't keep my feet on the ground
Like I was up to the nines on something so fine and I was never ever gonna come down
But looking back now, knowing what I know now, I see where I made the mistakes

We started but we stalled
I look up the sky, the night time stars, I watch one falling to earth
It burns so bright, alive and alight, but fades as it falls to the ground
And that's you and I, we had our time, but the best things only last for a while
Just like that star, we lit up the sky
But now we've burned down to the ground
