It Has To Be You

Jazz Butcher

Early sun on the Main
We're speaking English but the German's the same
It's the same
All on, I wish to take the air.
Out in the open conversation gets free and I'm quite happy here.
I can feel every print on her hands as they run through my hair.
Losing my heart on the street,
I seem to be mislaying it with every young girl that I meet.
He looks me right in the eyes,
He says you're always intellectual
you try much to hard to rationalize
And I wish I could look in his face and say that he lies

But now I can't sit still and I can't be quiet,
I don't know what to do
It's not the cold, not the traffic not the whiskey
though I've had one or two,
It has to be you.

I tread so carefully still
I don't really know what I want or what you will,
She looks me right in the eyes,
She says you're always unintelligible, try much to hard
to rationalize
And I wish I could look in her face and say that she lies.

But now I can't sit still and I can't be quiet,
I don't know what to do,
It's not the cold not the traffic not the whiskey
Though I've had one or two.
It has to be you,
It has to be you,
It has to be you.
