Falling In Love

Jazz Butcher

Every morning, I wake up
In a new hotel
Try to make it to breakfast
So far I'm doing quite well
But there are times when even the best laid plans go wrong
And I'll be standing on the corner
With another pair of sunglasses gone
What are we doing here?
With the clear blue sky above?
And this real bad case of too much falling in love
I've seen the ships sail off to Germany
I've seen that idiot train
When it has tried to run you over
It comes back and tries it again
You're by my side in one of a thousand pairs of Raybans
And I wish that I could understand
A quarter of the things you were saying
And I don't care too much for the way you kiss
But Lord above
There's this real bad case of too much falling in love
It's just a kind of dis-order
I know it's dreadful and bad
Well I sit in the back of the bus
And sometimes I feel so sad
And there are other times I can't believe the way things go
I start to jibber and to giggle and to yammer whoa-oh-oh-oh
But I'm not complaining
I'd never do that, Lord above
But there's a real bad case of too much falling in love
Oh it's like the bends for a diver
A back seat for the driver
There's a real bad case of too much falling in love
That's all it is
Just a real bad case of too much falling in love
You know it hurts to say that
There's a real bad case of too much falling in love
