Born of Thorns

The Encounter

Born of Thorns

The scene was set past myriad of centuries
Pale eclipsed moonlight evoken terrors
Illumination dividing shadows from the heavenly lights
It breeds the name of this lustrous sight

First arrived the beauty of night
An eager temptress whoring for souls

Alas
This encounter
Whenever wicked lusts conquered love
They were hers

Now noticed her the prince of light
And opened his golden lips
To speak the words of a bidding welcome
(But hark) the child of darkness
Was too beautiful for the prince to watch
And instead of light
Sung the voice of darkness

Who art thou
Thou I have never seen
Thy brightness burns my eyes

Alas
This encounter
Whenever wicked lusts conquered love
They were hers

One vanity less
Your lunacy rose to climax

Ruby tiara on her tress stood ablaze
Like the blood in the moonlight
He wished to question
But still no words fell forth

Twilight, ubiquitous, Andromeda…
Reveal who thou really art

Who art thou
Thou I have never seen
Thy brightness burns my eyes
Hearst thou not me
Thou shalt answer when I speak to thee

One vanity less
Your lunacy rose to climax

Who art thou
Thou I have never seen
Thy brightness burns my eyes

Alas
This encounter
Whenever wicked lusts conquered love
They were hers

Reveal
Unconceal
Who thou really art
