Life In Your Hands

Aurora (Trio)

I've traveled down this road a million times before
And it always seems to turn out the same
One more deserted dead end, so I turn once again
And trace each step I've taken in vain
How many times must I act out this useless part in a play with an all too common end
And despite my designs, I forget all the lines and I have to start all over again

So I lay my life in Your hands
I know it's been hard to pry it from mine
My feet grown weary and I've nowhere to stand
So I lay my life in Your hands

Lord, You know how many times I've failed
And You know how many times I'll fail again
But that will never erase the effects of Your grace
Or the way that You call me "friend"
So once again I've fallen to my knees and I'm asking
You to help me see that no matter how I try
Only You can truly satisfy the hunger that I have to be free

Living less of me, knowing more of You
is all the hope I need to get me through
