Ashes of Eden

Ruins Of The New Dawn

Ashes of Eden

Fallen victim to past beliefs, and unable to leave them behind
He glides through his life blinded

Crippling despondency, neural excrement collecting dust resurfaces
To flatten out his world again, the sphere is too complex and maladjusted

A crux at this interval
With a blade and a sigh
He says his last goodbye

In Elysium the images become so very clear
Ruins of the new dawn haunt their minds

He turns away laughing at their mortal grief
To stare infinity in its face

A crux at this interval
Confronted with life's
Perplexities and lies
Now decisions must be made

Kaleidoscope of questions
In a vast labyrinth of answers

Reaching up to grasp the translucent surface that is the floor of time
Raging terror fills his mirror image

A flaw in judgement, thing are not as were anticipated
The mystery still eludes him

Strewn upon the page, written into the rock of the earth
The careless man weaves his way in and out of its intricacies
Only to find him-self completely lost

A crux at this interval
With soldered shut eyes
And swallowed, force-fed tears

Fallen victim to past beliefs, and unable to leave them behind
He glides through his death blinded
