Althena's Pond

To rest here cradled by the waves
This forest path is long
A trail of fireflies lights the way
Awaiting your return

And now I know what's wrong
So far from it now
Misshapen images of mist
The waning sounds of dawn

Destroy the only world I know
Liquid spirits rise
Her magic is so strong within
This eternal night

Moonstruck and bemused
Lost in towers in your mind
Her last illusions dimly glow
And I am never coming home
